Million Dollar Winning Powerball Ticket Sold In New York

Someone in New York woke up this morning a lot richer than when they went to bed last night.

Officials with the Powerball Lottery announced that a "Big Cash" winning Powerball ticket was sold in New York for last night's drawing.

The "Big Cash" winning ticket matched all five white balls but missed out on the jackpot by not having the correct Powerball number.

The good news is that the winning ticket in New York did have the Power Play upgrade so that means the $1 million dollar prize was upgraded to $2 million dollars.

Two other "Big Cash" million-dollar tickets were also sold in Florida and North Carolina.

No one matched all the numbers last night which means the grand jackpot continues to grow. It is now at $700 million dollars for Friday Night's drawing.

The winning Powerball numbers from Wednesday night were 31-43-58-59-66 with the Powerball number 9.

Last night's ticket adds another name to the list of million-dollar lottery winners already in New York in 2023. While no one in the Empire State has won the grand prize jackpot there have been plenty of winners taking home seven figures.
