On Wednesday and Thursday, it was hot and humid and some places in New York reached 90 or above. This Father's Day weekend we will see another rollercoaster of weather with a massive dip in our high temperature when a huge cold front moves across the state.
Starting in Buffalo the high temperatures for Saturday and Sunday are not expected to get out of the upper 60s, In Rochester, you will be lucky to see 70 this weekend. More of the same for Syracuse and Albany with both cities looking at a high of only 69 this weekend.
New York City will fare a little better than the rest of the state with a high of 75 for Sunday, but that is still a drop of nearly 15 degrees from Friday's high temperature.
The good news is that this cold front is moving pretty fast and should be gone from the state by Monday afternoon. Normal or slightly below average temperatures return to much of the state by early next week.
So hopefully you didn't put away that light sweater just yet, you will need it this weekend.
