The first full week of Spring in Western New York will turn out to be a gorgeous one.

The National Weather Service in Buffalo is calling for mostly sunny skies to start our week with temperatures in the mid to upper 60's. We will see some rain as we wrap up the workweek and a bit of a cool down as we head into the weekend.

Here is what we can expect this week across Western New York.

Today Sunny, with a high near 64. Southwest wind 8 to 10 mph.
Tuesday Increasing clouds, with a high near 67.
Wednesday A chance of showers, mainly afternoon. Partly sunny, with a high near 65.  The chance of precipitation is 30%.
Thursday A chance of showers after 5pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 69. The chance of precipitation is 30%.
Friday Showers, mainly before 11am. High near 61. Breezy. The chance of precipitation is 80%.
Saturday Partly sunny, with a high near 48.
Sunday Showers are likely. Partly sunny, with a high near 51. The chance of precipitation is 60%.

Those temperatures are well above average for Western New York this time of year. Usually, we have high temperatures around 45-55 degrees.

Even though we will have higher than average temperatures we won't come close to setting a record high this week. We might get close on Wednesday where the record high is 72 degrees set back in 1940.

The other high temperatures set this week are 80 degrees for March 22, 78 degrees for March 23rd, 72 degrees for March  24th, 76 degrees for March 25th, and 81 degrees for March 26th.
