In an ongoing effort to get more and more people vaccination with the COVID-19 vaccine, New York State announced that starting tomorrow there will be 16 state-run walk-in clinics for anyone over the age of 60.

No appointments are necessary. Vaccines will be given on a first come first serve basis.

New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo said in a statement that the state wanted to make it easier for those who lack the technology or know-how to make an appointment online.

"You don't have to go on the internet. You don't have to make a phone call. You don't have to do anything. Just show up,"

Out of the 16 state-run sites, three are in the Western New Area. One here in Buffalo, while two will be held in Rochester.

The Governor did state that there could be long wait times depending on demand at each clinic. Also if you do plan on doing to one of the clinics you will need to bring proof of identification, and health insurance.

The clinics will run between 8 am and 9 pm with the last vaccine being administered at 8:45 pm. There is a mandatory 15 minute waiting period for everyone after the vaccine is given.

Anyone 59 or younger will still have to make an appointment to get their COVID-19 vaccination. You can schedule your appointment online HERE
