Mask & vaccine requirements are changing again at Shea's Performing Arts Center

In October, Shea's made the announcement that they would require all patrons ages 12 and older to provide proof of at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccination, as well as wear a mask in order to attend performances.  That policy was adjusted in February to inlcude all patrons aged 5 and up.

Today, the requirement has changed yet again.

They left the announcement on their webpage saying that they would no longer require patrons to be vaccinated at all.  They would also stop requiring people to wear masks.  They would strongly encourage them to continue wearing masks, but they wouldn't be a requirement any longer.

As far as staff goes, all Shea’s staff, volunteers, and security will continue to be required to be fully vaccinated and they will also all continue to be required to wear masks.

This comes at the same time as other large venues such as Highmark Stadium and Key Bank Center have dropped their vaccination/masking requirements.

It's hard to keep up with which places have vaccination/masking requirements these days.  I have been to three shows at Shea's now where you had to be vaccinated and wear a mask.  I didn't have a problem with it at any of them, but definitely heard people complaining around me.

The question is...how long will these be the rules?  No one knows

Patrons with questions or concerns about COVID related policies, are being directed to call Shea's at (716) 768-8071 or by email at covid@sheas.org.
