University at Buffalo Apologizes Over False Acceptance Emails to Over 5,000

Congratulations!  You've been accepted to the University at Buffalo!  Wait a second – maybe not.  The University at Buffalo apologized today for last week's erroneous acceptance emails to over 5,000 students.

The website MEDIAite reports that John Contrada, a spokesman for the university, gave a statement about the issue.

“We know that this can be a stressful time for prospective students and their families, the University at Buffalo deeply regrets this unfortunate error in communication.”
