So exciting to have Buffalo teams headed to the 'Big Dance.'  The University of Buffalo women's team have now joined the men.  What fun!

The women's team play No. 7 Rutgers on Friday in Storrs, Connecticut, as the 10th seed.

Just for fun, here is that at the buzzer win, from last month.

On the University at Buffalo sports page Coach Felisha Legette-Jack said,

“We’re excited to be able to dance. We’re excited to get to the postseason...We always say there’s four seasons. There’s not winter, summer, spring and fall. It’s preseason, non-conference, conference and now we’re dancing in the postseason.”

One player to watch is star senior Cierra Dillard, who is setting records.  She is second in the nation averaging 25.3 points per game.

Channel 4 listed off some more stats today.

Last season, UB earned an at-large bid as an 11-seed and went on to upset #6 South Florida and #3 Florida State on their way to a trip to the Sweet 16.
