If you have every gone to UB South you know how unruly and loud the college students who live over by University Heights can get. Heck, if you live their you're probably about to lose your mind.

Recently, the City of Buffalo has passed the "Nuisance Party" ordinance and basically, it gives the police more power to stop and get rid of big parties happening in the area. I mean, sometimes if you drive by the area, or one of the streets with fraternity and sorority houses on it, it looks like the scene out of a movie--morning comes and there's beer cans and red solo cups everywhere.

Now, if appropriate, officers can give more appearances tickets and fines, even as extreme as jail time. According to WGRZ:

The community has dealt with this far too long and we really needed to take this extreme measure," said Buffalo Common Council Member Rasheed Wyatt.

Common Council has passed an ordinance that allows police to access properties without a warrant, when they see behavior associated with wild parties like the -- illegal sale or consumption of alcohol, unlawful possession of drugs, littering and outdoor urination.

"They can actually go and address those students right then and there," Wyatt said.
