We've all heard of tourist attraction that pique our interest, but that doesn't mean that they're worth the visit and expense.

Reddit right now is discussing what are the most overrated tourist attractions in the U.S. and around the world.  Here are a few United States locations...

1.  The Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles.

2.  Times Square in New York.

3.  Roswell, New Mexico.

4.  Las Vegas, Nevada.

5.  Mount Rushmore in South Dakota.

It might interest you to know that Niagara Falls is also on the list with the accompanying quotes...

"The falls themselves are beautiful, but once you've seen it there's nothing else to do."

and another...

"Maybe the American side of the Niagara Falls is boring, but on the Canadian side you can go down into the falls which is really cool."

The article does bring up some good points, but describing Stonehenge as "just a bunch of rocks", Las Vegas as a "soulless city without culture designed to entertain you." and Mt. Rushmore as "just faces on some rocks" seems to me to seriously underrate the attractions and their history.

There is a complete list here.
