The 500 block of Main Street, in downtown Buffalo, will once again open to traffic today!!!

A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held at 11:00A.M. to announce the completion the $21 million project.

The City of Buffalo closed off traffic to Main Street in the 1980s, only allowing Metro Rail cars, which then showed a significant decline of business and businesses in the core of downtown. However, since the 600 and 700 blocks re-opened to traffic earlier this year, businesses started returning to the area.
