Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes to Divorce

We all know that marriage is hard and that most Hollywood marriages don't last. Sometimes we are surprised when a celebrity couple announces their divorce, but this time...well, I think everyone is shocked that it went on this long.From Day One, Katie Holmes' fans were not happy, to say the least, with her marriage to Tom Cruise. Most thought it was a sham or cover-up for Tom's sexuality. Maybe she was young and naive and was lured in by "Maverick." There were even Facebook pages launched discussing how she was a prisoner of Tom's evil grasp.

But when it's all said and done, Katie is now 33 and has 6-year-old daughter Suri (who luckily looks like her -- probably because Tom's not really the father) to consider.
