PUT ON A SWEATER

Yep.. this is a classic dad line. I have even used it on my kids. Ok, your cold, throw on a sweater. If you are sitting around in a t-shirt and shorts in winter you are going to be cold.

CLOSE THE FRONT DOOR

Where you raise in a barn? Are we heating up the whole neighborhood? These are typical Buffalo Dad questions and for the most part, the answer is no. So keeping the doors and windows closed all the time will help keep the heat in and let your furnace take a break.

TURN OFF THE LIGHTS

Many Buffalo dads spend much of the day walking around the house turning off the lights that have been left on by the kids after they left a room. Sure it doesn't cost a lot to light up a room, but every penny counts, so turn off the lights when you are not in the room.

TAKE A QUICKER SHOWER

It cost money to heat the water and how many times has a Buffalo dad banged on the door to tell the kids to hurry it up? Shorter showers will help keep more water in the hot water tank and use less energy to heat it up.
