It must be the best feeling in the world for a dog in a shelter when that special someone finally decides to adopt them and give them that long-awaited forever home. Unfortunately, sometimes that doesn't always end well. That's the case for Bane at the Niagara County SPCA.

According to their Facebook page, Bane was looked after by his foster person until he could find a forever home. When Bane was adopted, the foster person said goodbye and Bane was on his way. However, he was returned just a few months later, to no fault of his own. That breaks our heart.

Now, Bane is looking to find a new forever home and this time make it a permanent one.

Here's what Bane's foster person Mitch said about Bane:

“If you’re looking for a best friend he’s definitely it. He’ll want to be by your side and involved in what you’re doing. With that being said, he is a big time napper! When he knows I have work to do he goes and lays down. When it comes to snuggling, he wants to be as close as possible! He’s calm but also wants to have his one or two bursts of energy and play. He will make someone very happy and we know his special person is out there.”
