Say goodbye to The Situation: Mike Sorrentino is soon to be a married man!

According to an exclusive Us Weekly report, Sorrentino and his longtime sweetheart, Lauren Pesce, are now engaged, and the twosome's commitment was supposedly captured during the April 26 episode of Jersey Shore Family Vacation.

“I have always dreamed of proposing on Jersey Shore, the show that introduced me to the world,” the reality star reflected on the moment he popped the question. “I’m currently living the dream and proposed to my college sweetheart, Lauren Pesce, amongst my best friends on the biggest reality show in the country. We are so proud and excited to share this chapter of our story with the world.”

"GYM TAN WE'RE ENGAGED!!" the Jersey native declared on Instagram with a delightful pic of the star posing alongside his wife on a carousel roundabout. "THE FUTURE MR & MRS SITUATION," he captioned another of himself on a bended knee, ring in hand.

Despite Sorrentino's rep as "The Situation" — Sorrentino's fist-pumping party boy image on the infamous MTV series — the 35-year-old and his wife-to-be were first college sweethearts for four years until the show's 2009 inception. The couple decided to take a break from their relationship as the reality star rose to fame on the show, only to continue their romance in 2012.

Since rekindling, the lovebirds have experienced it all together, from their involvement on the reality TV show Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Starswhich Pesce says made their bond healthier and inspired Sorrentino to connect with her on an emotional level, to the difficulties they endured in the wake of Sorrentino's rehab and legal woes throughout the years.

Despite the fracas of reality television, the couple clearly hasn't skipped a beat, proving further that true love really does withstand the test of time.
