So I just got back home from my vacation to Mexico. Though I have many memories from the resort itself, one particular memory really stood out.

My flight to Mexico was out of the Toronto Airport. It was a five-hour non-stop flight and every seat was completely sold out. So about 20 minutes after take off I noticed a gentleman in his 30s walk toward the back of the plane holding a LARGE bag. I started to see that man hand out some sort of package to each passenger. When the man made it to my aisle I was in shock as to what he was handing out. I was given a small plastic zip lock bag, and inside that bag were ear plugs, a candy bar and small cut out with something written on it.That cutout was a photo of two babies and on the back read this message.

Hello New Friend :)

Our names our Dominic and Everly. We are 10 months old. We are so excited to have our first swim in the ocean! We are not so excited about our first flight. We will try to be on our best behavior but we would like to apologize in advance just in case we get grumpy, scared, or our ears hurt. Please enjoy this tasty treat as a thank you for your understanding. We hope you have a nice trip!!"

After seeing this the reaction from aisle to aisle seemed to be the same – pure shock and joy. I couldn't believe how cute of an idea this was. I immediately went from nervous about a flight with screaming babies, to completely fine with the idea of it.

This is an incredibly kind gesture from those parents and was truly appreciated by myself and many others! The even better news, however, was that that babies were perfectly behaved and didn't cry once, so the ear plugs were not needed. The candy bar however was enjoyed. LOL!
