The number one thing that people love about Buffalo, other than the amazing people, is the food. Let's be real here, the food in Western New York is phenomenal. The wings, pizza, beef on weck, sponge candy, Italian, etc. are all great.

However, as much as we pump up our food in the 716, there are some things we could do better at.

I took a trip to Nashville this past weekend for the Bills game, and had a chance to sample the breakfast and barbecue while I was there.

Buffalo does have great breakfast and BBQ, but not like that. For breakfast, we tried both Loveless Café and Puckett's, which are the two best breakfasts I've ever had. Loveless is the best without a doubt. The fresh biscuits were a top 10 food of all time and everything screamed homemade and tons of portions.

For barbecue, we went to Martin's near lower Broadway in Nashville, and the best brisket I've ever had. The BBQ down there melts in your mouth.

I left wanting more and wanting more places like it in Western New York. The wings in Nashville are alright, not amazing and certainly nowhere near the level of Buffalo, but I guess it goes to show you that ever city can't be amazing at every style of food.

Some photo evidence of the food at Loveless Cafe, which is a 25 minute drive or so from downtown Nashville.

Maybe we can get a location in Buffalo? One can dream, right?
