How long were you engaged for? A month? Six months? A year? Longer?

I never do understand why some couples get engaged and don't want to get married until years later. The most popular length to wait between "Yes" and "I Do" is 13 to 18 months, according to Wedding Paper Divas.

This was the breakdown:

24 months +: 6%

19-24 months: 23%

13-18 months: 40%

7-12 months: 27%

0-6 months: 4%

It seem likes I have 397 friends' weddings to go to this year (which makes me think I should get a move on), and I don't know which is complaining more: my liver or my wallet. But, really, I only have four so far this year, and three of the four couples fall in the most popular bracket in terms of length of their engagements. (The last couple would have been in the same bracket had it not been for a little surprise that snuck up on them, causing them to reschedule the wedding.)
