That Turkish Fountain Wasn’t Here Before, Was It?

What is 11 ft tall, is made of marble and cast stone, has the stars and moon of the Turkish flag and sits at the corner of Washington and Broadway Streets in downtown Buffalo?

It is an Ottoman-style fountain, a gift to the City of Buffalo from our sister city of Bursa, Turkey! The unveiling occurred yesterday with Mayor Keskin of Bursa and Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown in attendance.
