Here in Buffalo and Western New York, we are very proud of our food. The restaurants, bars, and food creations here are one of the things we hang our hats on.

Sometimes I wish there were Buffalo-style foods all over the country because when people come here to visit, they're usually impressed by the countless places that serve up awesome food. Buffalo-style pizza, wings, beef on weck, and yes, Ted's Hot Dogs.

Ted's uses Sahlens, which is a way of life during the spring and summer for many Buffalonians. They have locations throughout Western New York, such as Amherst, Cheektowaga, Orchard Park, and North Tonawanda. But did you know Ted's has a location that is not in Buffalo...in fact, it's about as far away from Buffalo as you can get.

Ted's has a location in Tempe, Arizona, and has had a location there for a while now. Many people might not even know that!

The reason there's a Ted's in Tempe, Arizona is the founder of Ted's, Theodore Liaros, opened the location when he retired in Arizona -- bringing a taste of Buffalo to the southwest.

In fact, there will be a second Arizona location in Gilbert (not too far from the first location) opening soon and that one will feature a drive-thru.

I always wanted to go to Arizona and let me tell you, this even more incentive! I guess it's pretty popular with Arizona State University and I can see why.

LOOK: Best Beers From Every State

To find the best beer in each state and Washington D.C., Stacker analyzed January 2020 data from BeerAdvocate, a website that gathers user scores for beer in real-time. BeerAdvocate makes its determinations by compiling consumer ratings for all 50 states and Washington D.C. and applying a weighted rank to each. The weighted rank pulls the beer toward the list's average based on the number of ratings it has and aims to allow lesser-known beers to increase in rank. Only beers with at least 10 rankings to be considered; we took it a step further to only include beers with at least 100 user rankings in our gallery. Keep reading to find out what the best beer is in each of the 50 states and Washington D.C.
