Ted Danson Joins CSI Las Vegas [Video]

You may think of Ted Danson as the lovable bartender Sam Malone from Cheers. But I've watched him in other roles, most notable the HBO series " Bored To Death". In that show he plays a pot smoking magazine editor and is brilliant! Ted is a very versatile actor and I think you'll be amazed what he will bring to CSI Las Vegas.

EW is reporting that Danson will be the drama's leading man for the upcoming 12th season, playing the CSI's grave shift supervisor after transferring from the Portland crime lab.

"You can create a new character on the page, but until the perfect actor comes along and breathes life into it, it's just words," said executive producer Carol Mendelsohn. "We're very excited Ted Danson came along."

Thankfully, Ted will also remain on the HBO show " Bored To Death".
