The homecoming videos of the men and women who have served our country coming home to surprise their friends and family really just hit home. The pure, raw emotion and joy coming out from the loved ones who miss them back home is unparallel. They are so great, that sometimes you go down a rabbit-hole of watching so many of them on YouTube.

This one may hit a little closer to home because well...he is from home. Buffalo, New York that is. This young man, Adam Mazzeo, moved to California for the Army has not seen his mom, Hellen, in quite some time. He decided that he was going to surprise her after 8 months at the restaurant that she works at, and boy, it was quite a shock.

Hellen works at Pixley's, this great breakfast, lunch and dinner joint in Akron, New York that everyone in the area loves. In fact, Pixley's has been the Restaurant Next Door winner for 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020.

You have to see the video. She initially walks right past her son to another table that she was waiting on before she was asked by another waitress (on purpose) to go take the order at his table. When she turns and realizes that it is her son, it is going to make you tear up.

Here are some of the comments from the video on Facebook:

I thought you were Josh Allen and had to rewind it twice! Thank you for your service!! You are adorable!!!
