Not Another Winter Weather Advisory Tuesday....didn't we just have one of these?

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory. The following areas are affected: Erie Cattaraugus Chautauqua Snow Showers will increase into the afternoon. The snow will start to stick on untreated roads as temperatures drop through the 30s later in the day...

Have you enjoyed the above normal temperatures so far? Well, by the end of this week we may not even hit 10 degrees across parts of Western New York. Dropping temperatures along with a northwest wind will give us a brutal wind chill by Saturday. So be prepared for an Arctic blast, some snow showers, and even some lake effect snows in the persistent snow belts.

More lake effect snow is expected to fall across most of Western New York by drive time tonight through tomorrow. We could see between 5 and 12 inches according to the National Weather Service.

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for all of Western New York from late Monday until 10AM Tuesday. This storm system is expected to bring accumulating sleet, snow and freezing rain. A High Wind Warning will be in effect for Chautauqua and Southern Erie Counties from 1AM Tuesday through 10AM, with wind gusts reaching up to 60MPH...

Updated at 6am 3/23/11 IT's THE WINTER THAT WON'T END. The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for Southern Erie, Wyoming, Chautauqua, and Cattaraugus Counties and Winter Weather Advisory for the rest of us from now until midnight tonight.

UPDATED at 6:00pm 2/20/11 The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory from 7pm tonight through 11am Monday morning for Niagara, Orleans, Monroe, Northern Erie, Genesee, Wyoming, Ontario and Southern Erie Counties.

UPDATED 7:30 pm 2/5/11 A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for Niagara, Orleans, Northern Erie, Genesee, Wyoming, Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, Allegany and Southern Erie Counties till 1am Sunday.

Western New York awakens to a fresh coating of snow this morning, about three inches fell across all of Western New York overnight.  Meteorologist Mike Randall described this as a general snowfall, unlike the last few that have been of the Lake Effect variety.
