trick or treat

A new study showed the best cities for trick-or-treating....basically it's places where young, rich people live close together in safe neighborhoods. San Francisco came in first, followed by San Jose, Los Angeles, Milwaukee, and Phoenix. Lots of you called this morning and said you DO travel for better candy or better neighborhoods...

The change of the seasons can only mean one thing…. trick-or-treat time is almost here!

Ok, call me an old curmudgeon, but I think Trick or Treating is for children.

The kids of Western New York are getting ready to hit the streets in celebration of Halloween and of course, it involves a request for candy. My son Dylan and his friend Emmallee would like to provide the parents this public service announcement.

There are pros and cons for each condition.

The event benefits Kids Escaping Drugs!

It's my contention that trick-or-treating is something reserved for the kids. If you're old enough to have working papers and buy your own candy, I shouldn't have to give you some.  And just sticking devil horns on your head does not a costume make!

My daughter is 13-years-old and she'll be trick or treating this year, as will my 10-year-old son.  I really think its fine for kids to go door to door straight through high school as long as they are respectful and polite.  What do you think?
