Tom Cruise is not one for subtlety. After spending the last decade in peak physical condition and proving his prowess through a series of action films, the actor was seemingly worried that we still did not get the point of how impressive he is. So what does Cruise do? He signs on for Methuselah, a movie about a famous biblical character who lived over 900 years and was considered a great warrior and leader for almost all of them. Christopher McQuarrie didn’t return to write and direct Jack Reacher: Never Go Back, but at least it’s because he’s working with Tom Cruise on a different sequel (Mission: Impossible 6). Still, a new Jack Reacher movie is something we can all look forward to, and the first photos from Never Go Back have arrived to get us properly pumped.

There’s no denying NBC’s increased success with the live TV musical, to the point other networks are emulating the trend, so can they do the same with drama? We’ll get the truth (handling of it may vary) in 2017, as the network eyes a live adaptation of A Few Good Men, with Aaron Sorkin onboard.

We’ve heard about Top Gun 2 for several years now, but with the passing of original director Tony Scott and Tom Cruise’s consistently busy schedule, it’s hard to believe that it might actually happen. We may be closer to that long-developing sequel than ever before, as Cruise has met with producer Jerry Bruckheimer about Top Gun 2, and there’s photographic evidence to prove it.

There were not many ways to get me excited in a Mummy reboot, the first in a planned series of connected movies linking The Wolfman, Dracula, Frankenstein and more, but Universal has found a way. So when Tom Cruise starts teasing a potential sequel that will reunite him and Emily Blunt for another round of time-traveling, alien-shooting, heavy-armor-wearing, yoga-posing awesomeness, our ears perk up. Yes please, we would like an Edge of Tomorrow 2.
