Amelia Earhart was probably the best-known woman pilot of the 20th century. Among her achievements, she was both the first woman passenger to fly across the Atlantic (1928) and the first woman pilot to cross the Atlantic solo(1932). She disappeared in 1937, during an attempt to circumnavigate the globe. Now, new research may have the answer to how her flight ended.
