The minimum wage in New York State is on the rise with the start of 2015.

Earlier this week, we were talking about first jobs and how much they paid. According to this video, even Mary Poppins needs some extra coin!

The New York State Assembly plans to pass a bill Tuesday (March 5) that will see minimum wage increase from $7.25 to $9 an hour. The passing of the bill will put pressure on Gov. Andrew Cuomo, who has already proposed a minimum wage increase, to support the bill.

Buffalo State Senator Timothy Kennedy attended a rally in downtown Buffalo yesterday that was meant to generate more support for an increase in minimum wage. But, how close are they?

A new Siena Research poll indicates a majority of New Yorkers favor a hike in the state's minimum wage.
