Halloween Costumes

Would you like to feel like a kid again? Remember how anxious you felt as a kid patiently waiting for beggars night? Well, first came shopping for a costume. These classic Woolworth Woolco Halloween Commercials from 1978 featuring Spider-man, Wonder Woman, The Incredible Hulk, Star Wars, Superman and Batman will bring you back.

We had a pretty big discussion last week about my sentiments that not everyone should necessarily get candy, or go Trick or Treating. Like, you got REAL mad at me.... // Post by Mix 96.   So I caved and bought a GIANT bag of candy (the GOOD stuff, like Reece's and Almond Joy and such) and will be handing it out this year (if it MAKES it to Friday in my house...)....

This is the creation of the Glowy Zoey company and what amazes me the most about the costume is that it is responsive to sound, it flashes many different colors and not only will your kid be the center of attention, but, he or she will likely be the most visible.

While you may be debating what you'll wear for Halloween, there's real pressure on pet owners who have to figure out just what to put their precious little critters in.

For some of us it's inevitable...October 30th sneaks up, you've got an invite to a costume party, but between work, family, and all the other things you're juggling, YIKES!  You don't have a costume ready! Good news is, most people in a recent survey said the "classic" Halloween costumes are quite "chic" this year.  So...

Meet Konnor Lee. He is my friend's nephew, but she takes care of him along with her mom. I like to call him "Konnor Lee that smells like cheese!" He is super sweet and OBSESSED with the movie 'Twister' and the new movie 'Sharknado' and can quote the movies while watching them!

Halloween is that time of year to let your imagination take over. There are many clever costumes out there, but some can't compare. Buffalo-themed costumes are the ones to beat (and yes, we're biased).

Sometimes the scariest thing about Halloween is how young women will put a pair of any kind of animal ears on, then barely dress the rest of their body and call it a "Sexy (Whatever Animal)" costume.

It's pretty much old hat now...Halloween has become less about the "scare" factor and more about the "sexy" factor. And Wal-mart's recent choices are kind of both.
