During the Saturday Night Live 40th Anniversary Special, Chris Rock delivered a touching, funny and honest speech honoring Eddie Murphy.

We knew going in that the SNL 40th anniversary special would be chock-full of just about every famous person who has ever walked within spitting distance of 30 Rockefeller Plaza and the opening monologue was quick to make use of this genuinely insane temporary cast of stars. Things got started on the right foot when the always-welcome Steve Martin took the stage ... but then he was joined by Tom Hanks. And then things got really crazy.

33 years after he first made his 'Saturday Night Live' debut in 1981, Prince returned to the live comedy variety show on Nov. 1 to perform an eight-minute medley comprising of three new songs: 'Clouds,' 'Marz' and 'Anotherlove.'

And it will be uninterrupted! Usually the musical guests on Saturday Night Live perform two separate songs at two separate times during the show, but not this weekend, November 1st, 2014. You're in for a treat, eight full minutes of uninterrupted, commercial-free Purple Prince glory!
