A couple months ago, Joy FM held our Charity Challenge to give away $1,000 to our listeners' favorite charity organization. I chose to support Cradle Beach, "where children's spirits soar" because I believe in what they do, the memories they create and the knowledge they give.

Congratulations to Cradle Beach Camp, the winner of the $1,000 in our Charity Challenge! They received over 1,100 votes!

The Boys & Girls Club’s services are designed to provide its members with health, social, educational, cultural, vocational, character and leadership development. The Club undertakes individual, small group and mass initiatives to give local youth the opportunity to develop and achieve their maximum potential.

Seven days into the 96.1 Joy FM Charity Challenge, Cradle Beach Camp has a commanding lead in the polls, with over 75 percent of the vote! But there's still one week to go until we give one of our four deserving charities $1,000!

Since 1982, Komen for the Cure has played a critical role in every major advance in the fight against breast cancer, transforming how the world talks about and treats this disease. The Western New York affiliate covers eight local counties and has raised over $2.5 million in the fight against breast cancer.

Cradle Beach is important to me because it provides a life experience and a safe haven for children who are disabled or economically disadvantaged. Just because school is out doesn’t mean the learning should stop, and Cradle Beach provides the perfect environment for summer learning.

We passed the hat around the 96.1 Joy FM office and each selected a charity we think deserves the money. Now, we need your help to determine which nonprofit is going to get the cash!
