Buffalo Winter Weather

Lake Effect Snow pounded the southern part of Western New York earlier this week but now that snow ban is moving north and the northtowns will get some snow today.

The winter weather will continue across Western New York and now it looks like people who live in the Northtowns will have to deal with the snow that Southtowners and Southern Tier residents had to deal with this week.

We were here. We know it was a harsh Buffalo winter, but it appears the effects are a bit deeper than you might have imagined. The extended period of ice, blanketed by deep snow, is likely to result in fish die-offs in numerous area ponds, according to New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) Region 9 fisheries biologists.

Just when I thought winter was coming to an end... The National Weather Service is calling for a winter weather advisory for all of Western New York.

Well I hate to say it, but the weather is going to worse before it gets better.

Around 500 students at the University at Buffalo were displaced after a pipe burst in the Red Jacket Quadrangle.
