Susan G. Komen Kick-off Luncheon Is Today
The Western New York Chapter of Susan G. Komen for the Cure® has their Kick-Off Luncheon for the 11th Annual Susan G. Komen Western New York Race for the Cure today (April 6th), 12 pm at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, 96.1 JOYfm is a yearly sponsor of the Race for the Cure.
The 2011 Komen WNY Race for the Cure will take place on June 11th in Delaware Park; over 8,000 are expected to attend. As a part of the Kick-Off Luncheon the Komen WNY Affiliate will award 8 grants to community programs providing breast cancer services in the Western New York area including:
* Roswell Park Cancer Institute Alliance Foundation
* Allegany County Department of Health
* Erie County Department of Health
* Genesee Cancer Assistance
* Prince of Peace Church
* Southern Tier Health Care
* WCA Hospital
