Western New York got a taste of spring (summer?) on Wednesday with a 70-degree high and man, did it feel nice!

We're back to reality this weekend with highs only approaching 40 degrees both Saturday and Sunday, but there's no denying that the warmer weather is working its way back into Buffalo. That means summer activities are not far behind.

One of my favorite things to do every year is go down to the beach...actually, who doesn't love going to the beach?

One of Western New York's favorite spots is Cabana Sam's Sunset Bay beach in Irving and on Wednesday, they let loose when their opening date will be.

Mark it in your calendars -- May 6th!

The cold and snow will soon be gone and that means, we can finally throw our jackets and heavy sweatshirts in the back of the closet until next October or November.

We're probably in that "fake spring" season in Western New York, so the second (third?) winter will soon be here, but I can finally see old man winter fading.

I always tell people that Western New York is such a hidden gem for beaches. We have Lake Erie and Lake Ontario right here, plus the Finger Lakes are a short drive east. I love Western New York summers.
