We are used to brutal winters and lackluster springs in Western New York, but many agree that 2022 was a little more brutal than usual. We had snow last Wednesday and it feels like the cold weather has lingered longer than it should.

We're into May and today isn't all that great. Rainy, mid-50's and overcast. Not exactly what you want for this time of year.

The light at the end of the tunnel is nearby. Get ready for improving weather this weekend and flat out outstanding weather next week; and it won't just last for a day, either.

According to The Weather Channel's 10-day forecast for Buffalo, we can expect summer-like weather for pretty much all of next week.

High temperatures will be above 70 degrees from Monday through the end of next week!

Next Tuesday-Friday will feature temps in the mid-to-high 70's, so chances are we get an 80 degree day or two in there. There isn't much rain in the forecast either, so it looks like next week is the week of weather we have been waiting for.

We had a gorgeous Sunday last week (April 24th), but it only lasted one day and then it was back to the cold and even snow. Next week does not look like that at all.

Summer porch weather is right around the corner for Western New York.
