Second Big Ditch Brewing Location Coming To The Suburbs
This is some GREAT news and we need as much great news as possible these days.
According to The Buffalo News, a second Big Ditch Brewing Co. location is coming to Transit Road in Cheektowaga.
The location will include a restaurant and craft brewery. Take a look at what it will look like!
Big Ditch will be getting nearly $1.9 million in tax breaks for its $32.3 million project, which was approved by the Erie County Industrial Development Agency on Wednesday.
The exact site of the new location will be at an old Holiday Inn site, 6700-6704 Transit Road -- just north of the Depew/Lockport Thruway exit/entrance.
The facility will be 105,000-square-feet, which is roughly three times bigger for brewing than the original location in downtown Buffalo on E. Huron Street.
"The location is perfect," said Cheektowaga Supervisor Diane Benczkowski. "It will help the economy here and in Amherst and in Erie County as a whole."
According to a more recent update via WKBW, they hope to have this new location open by the spring of 2022, which means we would have to wait at least one more year to see the results.
"We continue to have high demand for our beer in Western New York and beyond, including demand for beers we don't currently have the capacity to make at our downtown Buffalo brewery, which means the need for our new brewery is still very, very real", said Big Ditch Brewing President & Co-Founder Matt Kahn.
Big Ditch Brewing is one of my favorite breweries and restaurants in Buffalo (the Hayburner is phenomenal and I LOVE their loaded tater tots).
I can't wait for this new location!
