Here's a shortlist of things you might need:

  • Fireball (or your favorite whiskey)
  • Apple Cider
  • Rosemary
  • Oranges
  • Cinnamon

Writer Lee Hersh on her site Foodiefinds.com says based on the ingredients above,

All you have to do is add all of your hot toddy ingredients to a pot, bring it to a boil, and serve. Don’t have oranges? Use different citrus. No rosemary? Use thyme. The options to make this cocktail your own are endless.

Here is another, ingredients first:

  •  cups apple cider
  • 1 large orange, sliced
  • 1/2 cup fresh cranberries (more for garnish)
  • 3 sprigs of rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (and 2 cinnamon sticks- if you have them)
  • 4 1.5 oz. shots of Fireball

She suggests putting all the ingredients minus the fireball into your largest pot.  Turn the heat to high, bring to boil.  Next, reduce to simmer, uncover, for 10-15 minutes or until cranberries start to soften.

Then, the fun part,

Add a shot of fireball to 4 glasses and then add 1 cup of the cider mixture on top. Garnish with fresh cranberries and an orange slice. DRINK HOT.

Yummy Yule!
