If you are all about getting deals while you are shopping, time is running out to take advantage of Sam's Club Super Bowl deal on memberships.

Sam's Club ran a commercial during the Super Bowl and they were going to offer their annual membership for the amount of the yard line the ball was at during the two-minute.

The ball was at the 8-yard line which means new members can get a membership for just $8. The offer must be redeemed in-store only and shoppers should mention the “big game offer” at the membership desk. You have until the close of business today to get your $8 membership.

The $8 membership is for the annual basic "club" membership at Sam's Club. Usually, the annual cost of a basic "club" annual membership is $45, so customers are getting a $37 discount using the promo code "big game offer".

Currently, there are two Sam's Clubs here in Western New York. One is located at 3735 Union Road in Cheektowaga, New York, and the other one is located at 1580 Military Road, in Niagara Falls.

Sam's Clubs have been around for almost 40 years. Sam Walton, the owner of Walmart opened the first Sam's Club on April 7th, 1983. That was 21 years after he founded Walmart.

You don't have to be a member to shop at Sam's Club but they do charge a 10% service charge for non-members to your final total when you check out.

Sam's Club does offer two levels of membership. The basic "club" level is the membership that you can get for $8. The other membership level is the "Plus" level which includes, extended shopping hours, cash rewards, extra savings in Pharmacy and Optical centers, free shipping on items purchased from the Sam's Club website.

Normal business/operating hours for Sam's Club is Mon-Fri 10 am until 8 pm, Saturday's 9 am until 8 pm, and Sunday's 10 am until 6 pm.
