Western New York favorites you can try at Sahlen Field

Play Ball!  The immortal words of Aunt Bethanie from Christmas vacation rang out over Western New York yesterday, as the Buffalo Bisons took the field at Sahlen Field to start the 2022 season against the Iowa Cubs.

The stadium, which was named professional field of the year in 2021, has seen a ton of upgrades since the Bisons last played a full season in front of their fans in 2019.  The Bison's parent club, the Toronto Blue Jays, pumped a bunch of money into the park that opened its doors for the first time back in 1988, so it was up to Major League standards while they played parts of their 2020 and 2021 seasons in Buffalo. New locker rooms for the team and a new building beyond the right-field fence which houses some swanky new batting cages are just a few notable additions.

And now, as the stadium is ready to welcome back bison's fans for a full season in 2022, we take a look at the food options that you will have when you get inside the gates.  Aside from the usual ballpark fare of hotdogs, peanuts, and Cracker-Jacks, Sahlen field offers up a ton of food options that are uniquely Western New York.
