The NHL has a new seamstress for jerseys this coming season, going from Reebok to Adidas.  This change means that all of the league's jerseys will be changing...again.

The Sabres are included in this change but luckily the change is not too drastic.  We are still the blue and gold, and maybe a fresh jersey will come with a fresh start!  Our last jerseys, although cool, didn't translate too well onto the ice.

The biggest difference with the 'new' versus the 'old' in my opinion is a cleaner, simpler look.  They just have a little less going on which is why the change for them is not too drastic.  Step 1: Remove a line here and there, and it's a new jersey!  Step 2: Rake in money!

The changes to the new jersey include:

-Removal of the gray piping that was featured on the front and back of the jersey.

-No more gold collar that wraps around the neck. The new jersey will feature a navy collar on the front of the jersey and gold that wraps around the back.

-No gray arm-pits.

-Smaller secondary stripes on the sleeve.

One thing that will remain unchanged is the number on the front of the players chest. This will stay, making the Sabres the only team with the number on their chest.  Don't quote me on that, I am only 99.3% sure that they are the only team with that.

At the end of the day, the Sabres could wear Polos and I would be fine with it as long as they made the playoffs and challenged for a cup.  Hopefully this new look will bring some new luck and the Sabres will be competing again.
