The Buffalo Sabres are coming off of their impressive 8-3 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins at KeyBank Center this past Monday night and will play yet another home game on Wednesday evening, as they host the Pittsburgh Penguins.

This will be an NHL on TNT game, so puck-drop is at 7:30 pm, instead of the usual 7 pm.

The Sabres are looking to make the playoffs for the first time in 11 years and judging by the start of this season, they actually may have a legitimate good team for the 2022-2023 season.

Both Tage Thompson and Rasmus Dahlin are becoming superstars and Thompson is coming off an amazing six point performance on Monday against the Red Wings, which includes a hat trick.

The Sabres are also excited about the kind of jerseys they will be wearing this season.

Buffalo will have four total jerseys.

The standard home blue, the standard away white, the return of the newly designed black and red, plus the latest installment of the reverse retro jerseys.

The new reverse retro will include the "goathead," with the current blue and cold color scheme.

The Sabres will be wearing these tonight, as well as the Penguins, who will be wearing their new reverse retro (the return of the "Robo Penguin").

The first year I ever watched the Sabres was the 1998-1999 season, which was the black and red "goathead" jerseys. I love those uniforms because they are a sharp look and it's what I grew up with. I'm over the moon that logo is back with the reverse retro and the black and red jerseys.

I also like the Penguins "Robo Penguin," which they wore from the mid-to-late '90s into the early 2000s.

It should be a super fun jersey matchup.
