Ryan Miller, who owns Sabres records for most career minutes, most wins in a season, most career wins, and the most games played in a Sabres uniform was inducted into the Greater Buffalo Sports Hall of Fame earlier this year.

Now, he will be receiving the ultimate honor from his former team.

Miller's number 30, will be raised to the rafters at the KeyBank Center next season as he joins Dominik Hasek as the only two goalies in franchise history to have their sweater retired.

Miller is the first Sabre's legend to have a banner raised to the rafters at KeyBank Center since Rick Jeanneret's banner got raised at the end of the 2022 season.

Miller, who was the 138th overall draft pick by the Buffalo Sabres way back in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft, went on to play 18 seasons in the NHL.  He will join the following Sabres to have the name/number retired by the franchise:

Gilbert Perreault (#11), Rick Martin (#7), Rene Robert (#14), Tim Horton (#2),  Danny Gare (#18), and Pat LaFontaine (#16). Rick Jeanneret (RJ).

Miller spent 13 seasons in Buffalo with the Sabres, before moving on with stops in

Saint Louis with The Blues, Vancouver with the Canucks, and Anaheim with the Ducks before calling it a career, and finally retiring in 2021.
