Restrictions Placed On Area Roadways Due To Pending Windstorm

The Niagara Falls Bridge Commission has placed the Lewiston-Queenston Bridge under High Wind Restriction today (Sunday) through Monday as a precautionary measure.  The restriction will be lifted once the winds subside.

According to The Bridge Commission and News 4 Buffalo:

The restrictions include:

• Crossing Speed will be reduced to 5mph
• All traffic will be restricted to one lane in each direction
• High Wind Warning Signs will be posted
• NO EMPTY TRACTOR TRAILERS OR TANDEMS WILL BE PERMITTED TO CROSS

The Buffalo Skyway will close at 12 p.m. on Sunday as a wind storm will be taking place in Western New York.

The Town of Hamburg confirmed that the Skyway will be closed from Rt. 179, Hamburg, to the 190 beginning at noon on Sunday.
