The Thruway is going to get some repairs that are long overdue.

If you have ever driven the Thruway near the Cattaraugus Reservation in the Irving/Silver Creek area, you know how beat up the pavement is.

There is good news....repairs are coming after a long feud between the state and the reservation.

Metro Source News reports:

The two sides had been at odds over plans to fix the highway, which crosses the Seneca Nation's Cattaraugus Territory.   The project is expected to be complete in eight to 10 weeks.

The weather will be a big factor for the completion of the work. If the winter and nasty weather arrives early, work will extend in to the spring of 2020.
