If you are like a lot of Western New Yorkers chances are that you were out shoveling snow for most of the day yesterday.

Yesterday turned out to be one of the snowiest days in January in Western New York and the snow started early in the morning and didn't really stop until late in the afternoon.

The Buffalo airport reported 17.6 inches of snow which smashed the old daily record of nearly 9 inches of snow set back in the 1950s. More snow was reported north of the airport as well. Grand Island has a reported 22 inches of snow from the storm yesterday. Most areas in Western New York reported anywhere between 7 inches to slightly over 20 inches of snow.
