Red-Footed Tortoise Stolen From Buffalo Zoo

The Buffalo Zoo is currently looking for the red-footed tortoise from the Rainforest Falls exhibit--she was stolen on Tuesday night, according to WIVB.

The Buffalo Zoo is currently working with the Buffalo Police Department to get the tortoise named 'Red' home safely, and anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Buffalo Police Department at their tip line--716-847-2255.

While red-footed tortoises are commonly kept as pets due to the relatively low amount of maintenance required, they do have a life span of up to 50 years in captivity.

We are hoping that anyone with information will reach out to the Buffalo Police Department--hopefully Red will be returned safely!
