Brrr! The weather is starting to feel more like winter than fall in many part of the United States. As of early Monday, there was 60 million Americans were under some sort of freeze/frost warning and it is only mid-October!

The FOX Forecast Center said the cold air will start to move into the country out of Canada starting on Monday, but Tuesday and Wednesday are when the chill will affect nearly the entire eastern half of the nation.

As a cold blast moves across the nation this week, snow and rain are also pushing through. What does that mean for New York State and the northeast? Looks like we will see some cooler temps to start but the warm weather makes a big comeback the closer we get to Halloween! In fact, the extended forecast looks pretty decent.

There have been some Halloweens here in the Western New York area that forced kids to trick-or-treat in heavy jackets and snow boots! I remember going door to door and watching the homeowners shovel off the walkway so kids could get to the door. Fingers crossed, the warmer weather will stick around just long enough to get us to the end of October. Once the costumes are put away, break out the sleds and Christmas decor.
