For today many forecasters are calling for a high in the upper 80's which the possibility of setting a new record. The current record for May 20th is 89 degrees, which was set back in 2012.

For tomorrow, the record high is 90 degrees which was set back in 1977.

Today: Partly sunny, with a high near 85. Light south wind becoming southwest 5 to 9 mph in the morning.

Tonight: Partly cloudy, with a low around 64. Light south wind.

Friday: Partly sunny, with a high near 86. Southwest wind 10 to 15 mph.

Friday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 64. Southwest wind 7 to 10 mph.

Saturday: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 80. Southwest wind 10 to 17 mph. The chance of precipitation is 20%.

Saturday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 62.

Sunday: A chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 2 pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 79. The chance of precipitation is 50%.

Sunday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 53. The chance of precipitation is 40%.

Monday: Partly sunny, with a high near 70.
So the best chance to set a record high will be today or tomorrow as we will see the high temperatures drop heading into the weekend.
The hottest temperature ever recording in Buffalo in the month of May was 94 degrees which happened way back in 1911.
