Portions Of I-290 To Close For Paving Work

Be aware of lane and ramp closures today and tomorrow.  

The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) today announced that nightly lane and ramp closures will continue on the 290 in Amherst and Tonawanda, to allow for paving.  

Monday, July 1

The 290 eastbound between the 90 and the 190 in Tonawanda and Amherst will be subject to lane closures from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. to allow for pavement repairs.

Tuesday July 2

On Tuesday, July 2, the 290 westbound between Niagara Falls Boulevard and the 190 in  Tonawanda will be subject to lane and ramp closures beginning at 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. to allow for highway paving.

This work is weather-dependent and will be delayed in the event of wet weather conditions.

Remeber, fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone!
