Pine-Sol Approved To Kill COVID-19 on Surfaces by EPA
One of the tried-and-true methods of cleaning stuff for my mom when I was growing up was Pine-Sol. Now, that is officially certified to help the battle against COVID-19.
According to WIVB, Pine-Sol has approval from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for claims that it can kill SARS-Cov-2, which is the virus that causes COVID-19, on hard non-porous surfaces.
Pine-Sol is a product of Clorox and was tested by a third-party laboratory; from there, it was proven to be "effective" after 10 minutes on hard, non-porous surfaces.
According to Pine-Sol, the best way to use it to clean surfaces is to use the Original Multi-Surface cleaner at full strength with a clean sponge or cloth. Making sure to let sit for 10 minutes before washing.
“Pine-Sol Original Multi-Surface Cleaner now offers the clean families have trusted through generations with the protection they need right now against the spread of SARS-Cov-2, the virus that causes COVID-19,” Chris Hyder, vice president and general manager of the cleaning division at Clorox, said in a statement.
Pine-Sol is one of those cleaning products that has been used for so many things by so many people over the years, so this news is very much welcomed by families.
