It is no secret that there is a labor shortage.

No, wait. It is called a salary shortage.

It all depends on who you talk to. Employers will call it a labor and worker shortage. If you are someone taking some time not working, you may be calling it a salary shortage. It is no secret that COVID-19 has provided income for those if they are not working. In some cases, people got laid off and it is not a fortunate situation. I get it...you have to make a living for yourself and feed the people in your home.

There are some people though, who are taking advantage of the situation and not going to work because they are getting an unemployment check from the government. Let's be honest, though. Can you blame them? Some people are making more money by doing nothing than going to work. So why would they go to work? To make the rest of us happy?

The American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 temporarily will allow an extension for people receiving unemployment benefits plus, folks were getting automatic, additional payments of $300 per week.

This picture has been circulating at Tim Horton's  in West Seneca was going around social media. It read:

Sadly, due to government handouts, no one wants to work anymore. Therefore, we are short staffed. Please be patient with the staff that did choose to come to work today and thank them.
