The Buffalo Bills are preparing to host division rival, the New England Patriots on Monday night at Highmark Stadium. It will mark the second straight year the two teams will meet on Monday Night Football, although, last year's MNF game was in New England. This one will be in Orchard Park.

The Bills are mostly healthy for Monday, but will not have all-pro cornerback Tre'Davious White who tore his ACL last Thursday against the New Orleans Saints. Second-year cornerback Dane Jackson will take his place in the Bills zone-type defense.

The Patriots might not have starting safety Kyle Dugger, who was placed on the Reserve-COVID-19 list this week.

New England will be starting rookie quarterback Mac Jones, who has had a good year and is in the running for offensive rookie of the year in the NFL. He hasn't taken too many chances, but has done what offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels has asked of him, with the Patriots stout defense helping his cause.

However, Jones has never faced a weather game (or NFL environment) like he will on Monday night.

Mac Jones grew up in Jacksonville, Florida and played college football at the University of Alabama. Last week's home win against the Titans was the first time the 23-year-old played in a cold weather game...ever. That weather consisted of temps in the 30s with some flurries.

Jones told The Sports Hub in Boston he has thrown the football in cold temperatures before, however he has never played in a game like he will see in Orchard Park.

The wind chills will be in the teens, with actual temps in the 30s as wind gusts will be a big thing to deal with for both teams. Right now, snow showers look probable, but there's still uncertainty about whether or not lake effect snow will be over the stadium for the game, per WGRZ.

Chances are the Patriots (and Bills) play it safe with short passes, since the winds will be something that can cause havoc in the passing game. The threat of heavy snow is also in the back of minds, but if that happens, then you can take game plans and throw them out the window, because as we know from past games, heavy lake effect snow will negate offense in a heartbeat.
